Researchers at Biomedical Polymer Division work in the incorporation of natural photoprotective agents within nanofibrous polymeric matrices. As UV protection is mandatory for ensuring the recovery of injured skin (by burns, ulcers, tattoos), electrospun membranes with natural features are being developed intended as potential protoprotective wound dressings.
