COLAOB 2023, Mar del Plata, Argentina
The XII Latin-American Congress of Artificial Organs and Biomaterials (COLAOB) took place at the facilities of the UTHGRA “Presidente Perón” Hotel, bringing together specialists from the fields of chemistry, physics, biology, biomaterials, tissue engineering, and medicine. With a turnout of over 200 participants, these three days covered 12 topics, including 6 plenary and 6 semi-plenary sessions, 70 oral presentations, and two sessions with a total of 160 posters, among other activities.
With the aim of sharing and promoting scientific advances and technological developments, COLAOB 2023 returned to in-person events after the Covid-19 pandemic, with Mar del Plata serving as the meeting’s epicenter. Since 1998, this congress has sought to discuss the latest advances and drive the development of innovative solutions for clinical applications in multidisciplinary fields.
The pre-congress course on “Green Nanotechnology” took place the day before the start of the Congress and was conducted by Professor Doctor Kattesh V. Katti (Institute of Green Nanotechnology and University of Missouri Cancer Nanotechnology Platform, Missouri, USA).
