Seminar Dr. Busatto

Dr. Carlos Busatto, a collaborator of our group, is currently carrying out a research stay at BioTech, University of Trento, in Trento, Italy, and gave a seminar on his work titled “Development of a Bioengineered Matrix Based on Silk Fibroin and Hyaluronic Acid for Corneal Regeneration.”

Carlos Alberto Busatto earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology (2013) and his Ph.D. in Chemical Technology (2018) from the Universidad Nacional del Litoral (Argentina). He joined a postdoctoral position at INTEC (UNL-CONICET, Argentina), where his research focused on biodegradable polymeric particles for drug delivery applications. He has conducted several research stays at international institutions, including a doctoral fellowship at the Institut des Sciences Moléculaires (Bordeaux, France), and postdoctoral fellowships at POLYMAT (San Sebastián, Spain) and BioTech (Trento, Italy), regarding the development of polymeric hydrogels for biomedical applications. He is currently an Associate Researcher at CONICET, working in the Polymers and Polymerization Reactors Group at INTEC. His research interests include the design and development of polymeric matrices for tissue engineering, drug delivery, and the selective recognition of biomolecules.
