Dr. Abraham visited Institute of Biomaterials, FAU, Germany

In the framework of the I.DEAR program (“Ingenieure Deutschland – Argentina”) in Materials Science and Engineering between National University of Mar del Plata (UNMDP) and Friederich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, involving the exchange of Master students and scientific personnel between the two institutions, Prof. Gustavo Abraham, Research Institute for Materials Science and Technology (INTEMA), Faculty of Engineering (UNMDP), leader of the Biomedical Polymers Division visited the Institute of Biomaterials on 30 Sept. – 2nd October 2018. The successful I.DEAR program in Materials Science and Engineering is funded by the German-Argentinean University Centre (DAHZ), and it is in its 4th year, involving also University of Saarland. We collaborate with the group of Dr. Aldo R. Boccaccini in several projects in the field of biopolymers and electrospinning for tissue engineering scaffolds. Prof. Abraham presented the invited seminar “Polymer-based matrices for biomedical applications”.
